Our center offers a variety of assessment-related services, including:
I. Career assessment and tests: For clients with career-related issues, we offer career interest assessment and counseling. We often use the Strong Interest Inventory, the Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory-Career Report, and the Kuder Career Planning System. Students with career-related issues should also be aware of services offered by Career Center.
II. Psychoeducational Screenings and Assessments: These services are designed for students who are having difficulties with academic performance, learning, or concentration, and who may be interested in a professional assessment. Some students might be wondering if they have Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or a Learning Disorder (LD), and may be also interested in determining whether they qualify for educational accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. For more information, download the following PDF: "A Student's Guide to Psychoeducational Assessment." (Note: PDF files require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader ).
If you are interested in applying for educational accommodations due to a disability, please contact Georgia Tech ADAPTS (disability services). ADAPTS is the office that determines the adequacy of a students' documentation of a disability, and which ensures that students receive appropriate accommodations. Also, for more information, see The University System of Georgia Academic Affairs Handbook Section 2.22.
III. Psychological Consultations & Assessments: These are a variety of services that may be tailored to each client to assess for a wide variety of conditions and psychological disorders.
